Harmony

"Hurry up and close my door" I said as Jamal stood in the door way.

"Girl I literally just got in the door way" He smacked his lips closing the door.

"Yo Mony something is wrong with this man, he slow" Karion said shaking his head walking over to Khalif.

"Tell me about it Lil man" I rolled my eyes causing Jamal to hit my shoulder.

"Why would you do that" I whined hitting him back.

"Shut up brat" He pushed me walking over to Khalif also.

I followed behind and sat on the couch sitting criss cross tucking my feet in. I smiled as I watched Khalif crawl around on the ground making noises.

"You almost one lil man" Jamal said standing Khalif up on his feet holding his hands.

He slowly let go and Khalif just stood there trying to keep his balance, we all laughed as he giggled and plopped down to the ground.

"Come here fat man" I cooed to him. He slowly stood up and once he gained his balance he took his first step.

I stood there shocked as he took about three steps towards me.

"Good job fat man" I smiled picking him up showering him in kisses as he giggled.

I looked at Jamal to see him recording us and Karion as he cheered his little brother on.

Khalif started to whine letting me know that it was time to feed , bath and put him to bed. It was going on 11 at night and the only reason he was still up was because Jamal wanted to see him.

Leaving out of Khalif's room I left the door cracked and made sure I had the baby monitor on. I walked downstairs to see Karion laid out on the couch and Jamal was slowly falling asleep on his phone. 

"I was waiting for you to come downstairs before I headed out" Jamal said rubbing his face.

"No it's okay you guys stay here tonight , it's late" I insisted. "Bring Karion to the guest room"

He nodded before picking him up and carrying him up the stairs.

I went into the kitchen making a bottle and putting it in the fridge for the morning. I turned around seeing Jamal taking his shoes off along with his sweater and shirt.

"You got a pair of basketball shorts upstairs if you want them"

"Yeah let me get them" He said running his hand over his waves.

I went upstairs and quickly back downstairs handing him his shorts.

"What's wrong" I asked sitting on the coffee table in front of him.

"I'm just tired"

"No what's really going on" I asked trying to look in his eyes.

"Karion's Ma started using drugs again" He shook his head "I swear I'm trying my best to not go off that bitch, you should of seen the hurt in Karion's eyes"

"I know you tried your best to help her. But you can't help a person who doesn't want to be helped" I grabbed ahold of his hand.

It was quite for a moment before he looked up at me.

"You got a really good heart Harmony like on some real shit I did you so wrong but you're still here making sure I'm good"

"I'm gonna always make sure you're good no matter what" I said softly.

He smirked at me before standing up. "I know you're tired, you should get some sleep" He said pulling me up from the table.

"Well since you're here you can come cuddle with me" I did a cheesy smile grabbing his hand dragging him up stairs.

"Wow so you just gone use me huh" He laughed closing the bedroom door behind him.

"Hell yeah" I said changing into my pajamas as he did the same.

Before I could slip my shorts on he lifted me up and placed me on the bed.

"Uhh uh nah I don't want them shorts on you, I'm trying feel all that ass while we cuddling girl" He said smacking my ass causing me to roll my eyes pulling the cover on us then cuddled up next to him while he laid with one hand on my ass and the other behind his head.

"Good night Ma" He said kissing my forehead.

"Good night love" I said squeezing his hand as I slowly fell into a deep sleep.
