Harmony

"Jay don't do that , he just finished his bottle" I said as he lifted Khalif up playing with him.

"Well how was I supposed to know" He said fixing him in his arms.

"I don't know" I shrugged.

"Where y'all about to go" He asked handing Khalif back to me.

"I'm about to go drop him off at Jamal's then I gotta go talk to somebody"

"Who you gotta talk to"

"Just a old friend of mine" I shrugged.

"Alright well I'm gone catch up with you later" He said grabbing his keys and handing Khalif to me.

"Okay I'll call you"

I unbuckled Khalif taking him out of the car and grabbed his bag swinging it around my shoulder.

I walked up to Jamal's door and knocked waiting for him to answer.

"Well hello to you too" I said as he opened the door and just stared at me.

"Come in real quick" He nodded.

"No I have somewhere to be" I said about to hand him Khalif.

"Let me just holla at you for 2 minutes"

I rolled my eyes walking past him into the house.

I laid Khalif on the couch making sure he was secure and covered.

I looked back at Jamal to see him motioning for me to follow him. I looked at Khalif seeing him still sleep then followed him to the back.

"So you snitching now" He said angrily closing the door.

"What you mean" I asked confused.

"You telling people where my Traps and shit are" He yelled pushing me into the wall.

"Jamal don't start" I yelled pushing him back. "Why the fuck would I tell mother fuckers where you be at and you be having my son with you" I yelled.

"So how niggas finding this shit out then" He continued to yell.

"I don't know! Stop always assuming shit"

He took a deep breath before sitting down. "I'm sorry for tweaking , shit just been crazy around here" He shook his head.

"I need you to do me a favor" He said.

"What you need"

"Take Khalif and go to a hotel or something for the weekend, any where but here or your house"

"Karion too right?" I asked.

"Nah I'll find a safe place for him , he gone be good"

"No. He can come with me. I'll feel safer knowing what's going on with him instead of having to worry"

Jamal looked at me then nodded his head after studying my face.

"I'm about to get Karion ready , go get stuff for Khalif out of his room and I know you got half of your shit still in my mother fucking closet so go grab some stuff"

I chuckled shaking my head walking towards the stairs and he followed calling Karions name . He met us at the top of the stairs.

"Wassup Harmony" He said giving me a hug.

"Hey lil man" I rubbed the top of his head.

I grabbed Khalif off the couch seeing his eyes opened and him squirming around.

"We need to be getting ready" Jamal said.

"Well g-" I stopped talking once all the lights in the house shut off.

I soon felt a presence in front of my face. The lights flickered on and I screamed seeing a masked man in front of my face. The lights flickered back off.

I held Khalif tighter as he started crying and grabbed Karions hand snatching Jamal and ran to the safe room.
