Harmony

"Jamal stop moving" I breathed out as the doctors had my legs up and Jamal kept moving back and forth.

"I-"

"Okay just two more pushes and he'll be out"

Eventually the room was filled with all my family members and some if Jamal's as everybody took turns holding our baby boy Khalif.

I smiled as they passed him back to me and he wrapped his hand around my finger.

I was crying tears of joy. He's my miracle baby. The first kid of mine to actually make it in this world. And I promise to give him just that. The world.

-2 months later

I sat in the car with my sunglasses on and Jamal sat in the passenger seat as I was parked.

"I was just helping her, I didn't even plan on having sex with her"

I rolled my eyes.

"Look I understand that she is Karions mom and you want her to get better but why couldn't you just tell me that. I wouldn't even have needed a whole explanation but the fact that you had sex with her is what bothered me"

"I know" I said lowly.

"All I needed was loyalty and love. Was that to much to ask for" I asked wiping the tear that was starting to fall.

"I'm not even gonna lie to you and say that you should give me another chance because to be completely honest with you I'm not ready to settle down"

"So why couldn't you say that in the first place"

"Because I thought I was ready. I thought we were gone have a family and settle down but things didn't go as planed"

"Obviously not"

"Regardless we gone be in each other's life because of Khalif but I want you to find someone who makes you happy and make sure it's somebody you want to spend the rest of your life with"

I nodded twisting my lip to the side.

"You need help putting Khalif in your car" I asked ready to be over with this conversation.

"Nah I got it, let me know when you make it home" he kissed my forehead.

"What you doing here" I asked Jay opening the door for him.

"You weren't answering your phone, I just came to make sure your straight"

"Yeah I'm okay" I sat on the couch and he sat next to me.

"Where's Khalif" He asked.

"With Jamal" I answered.

"What's up. What's bothering you" He shifted giving me his full attention.

"The same as always" I shrugged.

"Wanna talk about it"

"I'm tired of being hurt Jay" I said tightly closing my eyes trying to stop the tears. "It makes me want to give up , Khalif is the only reason why I feel I should keep trying"

"You know you got me and your family ma" He pulled me closer wrapping me in a tight hug.

I miss being in his arms like this.

"You don't need nobody as long as you got us" He continued.

I wiped my face as I was still in his arms.
